FAQs

What is recessed panel R-value?
Recessed panel R-value describes the properties and rate that heat energy passes through your garage door. By delaying the flow of heat through the material rather than reflecting radiant heat away is how thermal insulation is obtained. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulation.

Do your doors come with garage door openers?
That is up to you! Our online system allows you the flexibility to choose whether or not you need a new lift operator. In some cases homeowners are happy with the performance of their existing operator and they do not want to bare the expense of a new one. We do strongly recommend considering a new operator as modern technology has made vast improvements in ease of operation as well as the reduction in sound on new lift operators. Plus all new lift operators come furnished with 2 new remote openers. External key pads with a programmable access code are also an available upgrade.

What type of paint is used on your garage doors?
Our garage doors go through an extensive, extra-heavy paint system that includes the application of a .25 mil. primer with rust inhibitor and a .75 mil. coating of baked-on polyester paint.

How many colors are offered for your garage doors?
We offer a beautiful 6-color palette to compliment our garage doors.  Those colors would include your choice of bronze, brown, gray, hunter green, sand, tan, and white.

What types of weather resistance tactics are used on your garage doors?
On all of our garage doors section joints are roll-formed into a tongue-and-groove design which produces a superior weather seal.  There is also a bottom weather seal that utilizes an aluminum retainer and extruded virgin vinyl to better protect your new door from the harsh elements. All of premium doors are thermally-broken for optimum weather protection as well.

Our doors range from a 24-gauge to a 27-gauge on the interior and exterior of the door. All of our section joints are roll-formed into a tongue-and-groove design which produces a superior weather seal.  On every door, inside stiles are made of galvanized steel and stile holes are “dimpled” for increased holding power.
